Conor West, Support and Service Engineer at hyperTunnel, talked to Tunnels & Tunnelling magazine about the progress of our test programme. Test cycles of our initial pre-production fleet of 50 robots have been continuously run through a 12m representative grid on a 24/7 basis. Accelerated life testing is proving our bots’ robustness, reliability and capabilities. Next, the system will be demonstrated with the construction of a full-scale underpass.
